Character Analysis

The character is the Skinwalker and its unique things are shaped shifting and easily trusting. The Skinwalker can shapeshift into animals and human beings or whatever it needs for anyone to trust it or scare it away.  The way it makes the person trust it is by making people think it is something else like someone crying for help, a dog hurt or anything. The reason it acts the way that it does is because of all the dark rituals from when Native Americans believed in things. The traits that they have are voice mimicry, mind tricks and their telepathic abilities.

The reason for the voice mimic is because to draw people in like a voice the person recognizes or like a little kid or anything that makes the person wanna go to it. The mind tricks are really the same but making them see some that they will not believe more of a confusion and fear. Telepathic really makes the person feel what the Skinwalkers want that person to feel. If they want the person to go away they make them feel scared so they will not  get any closer. The Skinwalkers definitely act out they want power and how they get that is from fear so they act out their best way to get that power and test their boundaries.

In movies and stories, Skinwalkers are often shown in a way of monsters and that is  how most people have them on social media but to Navajo tradition the idea for Skinwalkers has different meaning they used them for balance and learning right from wrong. The Skinwalkers internal conflict is they fight between being good and wanting power. They do feel sad and guilty for what they do but the darkness is too strong to stop. Other people in the community often fear and avoid them because of their dark and strange behaviors. They are chased and hunted because people wanna stop their scary actions. These conflicts show how the Skinwalker is often seen as an outcast, fighting against both people and their abilities.

In many legends, the Skinwalker was once a normal human, sometimes even a respected healer. These people had knowledge of healing, nature, and spirits. However, some of them became self centered and began to use their powers for harm. To become a Skinwalker, a person must break the deep culture and spirituality, which separates them from their people and their humanity. This change shows that evil comes from bad choices. The character stands for losing balance, of letting selfish desires grow stronger than kindness. It also represents fear if they lose their respect and goodness.

The Skinwalker is not just a monster but a reflection of what can happen when someone stops loving their community and beliefs. They are very smart creators who know how to make people do things and how to lure them in like animals. They want people to trust them in good and bad ways but mostly bad. The Skinwalker can be many things but the normal form of it is thin, twisted, and covered in animal fur, with glowing red  or yellow eyes. The appearance is supposed to be unpleasant, almost normal but not quite right showing that it is not human any more.

The Skinwalker is a very unique thing. It has so many shapes and sizes that it transforms too and it just causes fear and anxieties to people. It tries to make the person be selfish and not respectful to themselves.
